I actually like Duvall and think he has value. He had a bad streak in Atlanta but has been fairly decent and an excellent defender.

I wonder if we could get Cano, Haniger and Díaz for Teheran and Wright, then flip Cano to the Yankees with a prospect and Gohara for Gray? So, the players can be changed around in return but you get the concept. It seems like the Mariners aren’t gonna deal without including Cano. Any ideas?

I still would like to see Julio in the pen if we don’t deal him. I liked what I saw in the playoffs, albeit, just one inning. But it made me wonder how good he could be for one inning, airing it out.

Not a platoon. If Riley is the guy, he takes over and Nick is there for a backup. Possibly deal him at the deadline. Again, I’m not advocating this. Just looking at possibilities. If it were me, I would deal Ender and 2 of the prospect pitchers for Kluber and sign Brantley and McCutcheon.

Don’t be shocked at this: Riley goes to the outfield at Gwinnett and we sign Markakis for one year. That also frees us up to make a bigger splash for a starting pitcher and maybe Kimbrel.

Yeah, I wouldn’t assume the Braves would take on the salary. The Yankees would have to pay. Even if they paid half, we probably wouldn’t do it.

Without searching everywhere, this may have been discussed but what would bringing Stanton here in a deal look like? It’s been mentioned on MLB-TV just throwing stuff out there. Assuming the Yankees want to sign Harper. First, Yankees have to pay. What would be next?
