I've been okay with the moves so far, but if they trade Freeman, gonna be hard for me to follow the Braves. The minors is stacked. We have a ton of money already and he's worth every dime. Saying that, I don't think we are trading him.

Most ironic part about some knocking the FO for not adding offense is that our lineup is better with Aybar in it.

Go back and listen to Hart regarding the plans. We have done nothing to abandon the plans yet. Losing popular players is never easy, but the plan is stockpile the pitching, load up the farm, and then start making trades and FA acquisitions. I believe the FO wants another top three pick in...

As a big fan, I hated this trade for one reason. Simmons was one of my favs. On the baseball side of things, I loved this trade and what we got back. Braves fans are just tired of seeing the regulars traded away, but its hard, IMO, to knock this trade from the Braves side.

I highly doubt Freeman is pissed off. He was sat down last off season and was told the plan is for 2017. It's 2015. He jumps ship now, which he won't, he will miss out on when we start using this pitching depth to trade for those big bats. Patience

It sucks to lose Simmons but once Albies is up and Newcomb is one of our aces, I think we will be fine without him.

Is it true newcomb is the 19th best prospect according to mlb.com??? If so, we are setting up to have dominant SP and by the time they are ready, Albies will be our SS

I'll wait and see if we trade him and what we get back in return before I go jumping off any cliffs. Ideally, if we can get a big bat to protect Freeman, I'd do it.

I think if we want to compete in 2017, it would be a great idea to get a closer like Kimbrel. Doubt it happens but I want to see the Braves start to build towards 2017 and give us something to look forward to.

Hurts to lose Alex, but to me this trade is a good one. Olivera can really play. Wonder why we drafted and acquired all these pitchers? This is why. Our club is high on Olivera.
