    Who is Kevin Gausman?

Thanks Enscheff. I liked our moves. Did not want to give up hardly any of our prospects..until I saw Allard. I do not want to see how bad the stats will look on his pitches. I still remember how impressive he seemed early on. I think he struck out 11 of the first 12 batters he faced in the...

    2018 Trade Deadline ROSTERBATION

This was FM. I was just glad that they stopped talking about Julio Jones long enough to talk a little baseball.

    2018 Trade Deadline ROSTERBATION

I think AA has to make a move for a high leverage reliever, just in case. Imagine how it might turn out if he doesn't. His manager might be stuck trying to use Winkler or Sam Freeman at closer in the game that puts us in or out of the playoffs.

    2018 Trade Deadline ROSTERBATION

Surprised to not hear any talk about Chris Archer here. That was the story this AM on ATL sports talk radio. There has been a lot of talk about him the last few years. But now might be the time we need to try to pull it off. Not sure what Tampa needs, but Allard, Fried, Wisler, and Sims...

    2018 Trade Deadline ROSTERBATION

I was just reading the AJC article about us trading FOR a starting pitcher. My guess is we are closer to trading AWAY a starter. Of course we'd give McCarthy to whoever wants to pay his check. But I wonder what offer it would take for AA to dump Teheran or Sanchez. It would be even funnier...

    Ozzie Albies thread

Enscheff will be right on the power, as he pretty much always is. But otherwise, it's known that Albies and Inciarte are the types that go on runs where they have multiple multiple hit games. It's coming. The more interesting thing to me is whether Swanson or Albies or Acuna finishes with the...

    Soroka and Gohara

Funny enough, I think the bigger issue with dealing JT is no one will offer much. Kinda like with Markakis the last few years, by the time a team takes on his contract, they won't offer much more. If we are in the playoff hunt, we will not want to trade a solid player just to get back a...

    Soroka and Gohara

Yep, it's all working out fine. Innings are being kept down. We can showcase Sanchez and maybe trade him for a little something. Soon after that, trade McCarthy for even less of a prospect in basically a salary dump. Consider offers for Teheran, although I don't think AA would deal him if we...

Max Fried threw sinkers last night!

Thanks as always for all these stats Enscheff. Pretty cool that a pitcher can have a fastball that works in the minors but then the stats show it won't work in the majors, and it doesn't. Then if you can tweak/fix it, even better. Any stats on Wisler improving his fastball, or is he just...

    Batting the Pitcher 8th

OK, after just one good weekend, I'm no longer convinced. I'm ready to move Inciarte back to leadoff. I love the way Inciarte has these long at bats. It brings his value way up if you think of him as a leadoff hitter. Technically he's still probably the 5th or 6th best offensive player on...

I don't think anyone thought Aaron Judge would be this good.

I remember those trade threads and was pissed when Judge came up and did so well. So the consensus is we'd trade Albies for Judge, but not Acuna?

    Batting the Pitcher 8th

You guys have swung me. I definitely get that you need to get the most at bats for your best hitters and it's easy to see our best 4 hitters. But that should still mean that the pitcher bats 9th. If Inciarte gets his OBP back up .020 or .030 higher than Albies I'd probably still move him back...

    NL rookie of year

Yep, I almost brought that up when Enscheff said Albies will be our second best player this year... so it will be Acuna, then Albies, then Freeman..lol.

Braves Hitters Strikeout Rates in April

Thanks for the numbers guys. Especially on an off day. I love Albies, but I think Acuna will produce a higher WAR this year than Albies, even with a month less playing time.

    4/29 rubber game vs Phillies

I just want to see Camargo play so I can see him throw. They better call his arm a 70 arm. I really want to see Acuna throw soon.

    4/29 rubber game vs Phillies

Keeps throwing me off when I think Acuna knows Albies or Camargo because they played together in the minors. Then I realize, nope, Acuna barely played in the upper minors.

    4/29 rubber game vs Phillies

Hard to see how Camargo was considered such a defense only player a couple of years ago.

    4/29 rubber game vs Phillies

Albies seriously need to steal now.

    4/29 rubber game vs Phillies

I also do not see the point of these type lineups. Inciarte and Albies seem to have similar OBP potentials. Inciarte is currently the better base stealer. I think we'll eventually go Inciarte, Albies, Freddie, Acuna, Markakis. Why not go ahead and go that way now if we are making a move so soon.

    Rotation Shuffle?

If that next start is against the Mets, I'd risk letting Wisler have one more start. He seems to pitch well against them. Then send him back to the minors before he gets exposed and maybe we can trade him for something. I know last time I said get him back to the minors others said we need to...
