Gonna get this out in the open; where does BJ rank on your most hated Braves list?

Hmm, 1. Len Barker (gave up Brett Butler to get him) 2. Kenny Lofton (gave up two of my fave players and I just never liked him) 3. BJ Upton (especially if his contract causes us to not be able to resign Jason or Justin)

DOB: Upton will be moved, Gattis very possibly as well

No way that I'd dump BJ until I had resigned Justin. I'm sure Justin understands the business of baseball, etc, but I bet we'd save more resigning Justin with BJ still having a chance to play here than we would save in a BJ dump trade. That's and hoping BJ gets a Lasik, etc miracle this winter...

    Next 300 game winner

Hope it's Julio Teheran! Actually if I were gambling I'd guess Cole Hammels (assuming he gets traded in a year or two).

Peraza getting his due: MILB Stock Watch (plus highlights!)

Thought he was taller for some reason. Thanks for the link, that's the first I've Peraza footage that I've seen.

    Time to extent La Stella

I don't see any reason to lock up a player that you already have under control for a while unless you think that player will be a superstar and you are trying to get a discount. I liked it with our players until we did it with Chris Johnson. La Stella would be a similar mistake to me. The...

Should Hale be our 5th Starter in 2015

Wren seems to like to resign/extend. I guess alot depends on how the second half of the year goes. But I bet we make the qualifying offer to Santana, resign Harang to a two year deal, and resign Medlen and Beachy to incentive based deals. That leaves Hale still the 6th starter but I bet he'd...

Harang: A Tale of 3 Metrics

I distinctly remember one of the announcers saying that Garcia had said that he would not go down to TripleA whereas Harang said he would and that was one of the reasons we let Garcia go. Minor replaces Hale and then when Floyd gets ready I'd send Harang to Gwinnett to keep him stretched out...

Using the Bench to Overcome our Platoon Disadvantage

I was thinking about this myself the last couple of night. However IMO it's really not important to have left handed hitters to face right handed pitchers. The key to me is to get left handed pitchers to try to neutralize left handed hitters. If you get what I'm saying..lol.

ESPN Insider: Why the Braves should consider trading Kimbrel this winter.

After seeing the arbitration numbers, I don't think Kimbrel will give us a discount. You have to wonder if we feel we can afford him even before he hits free agency. I doubt we'll ever be offered something distinctly more valuable than the compensation pick we'd get with a qualifying offer...
