GDT: Braves vs Orioles. Game on MLB Network at 1 pm

I've always really struggled to understand why people want to eat the "run some cheap ass meat through a blender, press it and some flavoring into a shape, and call it the meat you want to pretend it is" foods, whether that be potted meat, spam, McDonald's "fish" sandwiches, or CFA's "chicken"...

Popeye's: Excellent bone-in chicken and sides, I've not tried their sandwich or tenders Bojangles: Meh. Edible in a pinch. Not tried the sandwich or tenders. KFC: greasy, tasteless trash, but still better than Chik-fil-a CFA: sewage and hot garbage on a bun.

I'd sooner eat Huddle House than Chik-fil-A, and I loathe Huddle House.

Yeah, Hardee's breakfasts haven't been as good since Carl's Jr. bought them.

About fifteen years back, a guy on another forum I was on was going to Jacksonville, FL for the first time, and another member who lived there promised to take him to this "awesome local seafood restaurant" while he was there. Dude got down there and was taken to a Red Lobster.

It's been reported he stayed upper 90s, occasionally touching triple digits.

Nah, when he's in midseason form he'll move on from missing the strike zone and start missing the entire field of play.

John Hirschbeck was the final straw for me, and that was over 20 years ago. When an ump can make a regular habit of screaming racial slurs at players who disagree with his calls, and all the league can do is for the commish to lamely give an interview and say he should apologize, and the ump can...

I'm not on board with robo umps until the tech is a bit more improved (obv, I think, but maybe not), but I feel the fact that the league has shown absolutely no willingness or ability to tamp down ump bad behaviour over the last Zeus only knows how many decades makes it an inevitable necessity...

New girl just called Joe Maddon a great manager, so if there's a nuclear explosion in Florida in the next few minutes it's Chipstick's repressed rage.

It's kind of comical to hear a manager who already refused to ever use matchup relievers or platoon hitters as what they are say that he's glad we don't have a pen full of matchup relievers because they have to face three batters now. He's the one manager who won't have to change a single thing.

Acuna watched a ball one time, so he's going to flop, do steroids, and become a convicted felon.

Dumb little story in the few minutes after the game before I changed channel about some kid playing football, going to a new lewvel and getting to meet some of his heroes, and calling home shocked because the players he grew up idolizing knew who his grandpa had been.... just an old boxer named...

What perked my ears was his defense that he wasn't affected by the elbow in the playoff because he was on so many pain meds that he couldn't feel it. Because you know, there's no way that could slow someone's reflexes or anything.

MLB suspends Astros GM and Manager for a year, yuge fine and takes away draft picks.

That was, emm, not very well-written, and surprisingly ahistorical for something written by an apparent history professor.
