Don't mind trading Cervenka. Miami just has such a weak farm, the return was going to be minimal from them. Seymour and Mader seem like marginal prospects. Seymour has a carrying tool, but a tool he can't use unless he can figure out how to get on base. I don't see either as top 30 in our system.

Would have loved to get Liriano, McGuire and Ramirez like the Jays did. Basically bought 2 prospects similar to Touki deal. Coppy should have been all over that. McGuire a decent C prospect and Ramirez a legit OF prospect.

I wasn't thrilled then and have been proven right to this point. As a Braves fan, I hope he can get the ship righted. He's still young and has time. But we are going 3 straight years now of terrible performances.

He's not a starter. I would have kept him as a pen option, and then see if he could develop some value. Agreed that Grilli was dealt way too early. He could no doubt bring back more now than he did in the Toronto deal

I think the johns will make sure 2017 isn't a train wreck like this year. But in no way are we in the hunt next season.
