If we play the Cardinals I might just chop from the starting lineup. I’d be half tempted to dress up like Chief Screaming Chicken from the 1960s Batman series.
Helmsley can KMA. I was so mad during that series that the main topic of conversation at the end was his whining.
As long as he doesn’t bomb we can always trade him if he becomes the odd man out next year. I’m hoping sporks comes back strong and the rotation is healthy with guys in Gwinnett making a case, but seldom does everything go perfectly.
That was an incredible series. I was able to attend all 3 games and it was the most fun I’ve had in the regular season since I was a kid in the early 90s.
This is a special team and I hope we can get it done in the postseason.
Morton’s stuff is still good and given his history confidence seems important to him. Maybe some certainty could be good for him. He looks like he could put it together.
Travel from Miami to Atlanta could be changed easily and it’s a lot less disruptive to pitching than a double header the day before another series or rain delayed games. It’s definitely less disruptive than moving games. It’s really the obvious solution.
There has been speculation the games could be moved which is bad for us. I wonder how MLB is going to handle it. Both teams have an off day Thursday and moving a game up makes a lot more sense than playing in Miami. This could throw a big monkey wrench into the last week of the season.
I know but I don’t understand why you feel like the decent thing to do is retiring. We can get out of the contract and whether he wants to give it a shot for what he can get is his decision.
I’m not too worried about Olsen yet but he is streaky. He was excellent for a while and overall his year has been mediocre not terrible. I don’t think he dramatically lost it permanently at the break. I do wonder if the grind of the season is getting to him or if he has something nagging going...
