    EOF on McCann

McCann stuff starts at 36:00 mark but so much Braves stuff and the whole podcast is gold if you like to dig deeper and be a fly on the wall in a pro clubhouse.

    EOF on McCann

Driveline baseball podcast with guest Eric O’Flaherty. Really interesting listen and especially all of his discussion on B-Mac and to a lesser extent David Ross. I’ve always loved McCann but it was amazing to hear a pitcher go into detail about him...

GDT 6/30/19: Back to a meh GDT - Albies out

Flowers is awful right now. And no effort to see the ball deep, shoot it oppo, to track the ball better. Amazing he got walked there as he’s been swinging at everything. On a related note, has ball-strike umpiring ever been this bad? I’ve noticed it as terrible at every level I’ve watched this...

GDT 6/30/19: Back to a meh GDT - Albies out

Opposite for me. Espn does this every game I guess to connect with a larger audience, but it’s like fingernails on a chalk board when I’m trying to actually watch the game they are airing. They do love to hear themselves talk....

    GDT 6/29/19: Beat the Mutts

I think FF, Donaldson, and Flowers went out drinking last night. They have had abysmal games.

    6/19 GDT Fried vs Mets

There’s something off about Blue. Between posting penises, masturbation emojis, and saying “I am erect!” when something good happens.....

    Worrying trend with Acuna

It often can be a front side issue, with the shoulders leading the way and pulling the path more “east -west”. Often it’s a conscious fix, just focusing on staying through the ball and not over rotating. Lots of pullside ground balls is a red flag for directional issues. Hitting is such a...

    Worrying trend with Acuna

I don’t see him as being late on fastballs. His barrel path is a bit off, seems when he tries to launch pullside that he’s cutting off the strike zone, not staying through it. It’s amazing he’s been as successful as he continues to be with his swing being a bit off. Lesser talent would...

    2019 MLB Draft Thread

Taking a look at video of the swings of the first 3 picks, I came away impressed with Langeliers swing and think it will make him worthy of the #9 pick going forward. Very well sequenced and simple. Stays on line with his barrel path and in the zone. I’m not as impressed with other 2 swings...

    GDT 5/21 vs Giants

“Strategic walk” with one out and the middle of Giants order coming up. Man, Chip is a special kind of stupid. At least Jeff disagreed. Does Chip have to endorse everything that happens regarding the Braves with positive spin????

    5/14 GDT vs Cards

I mean, he missed his spot, but the ball was beaten into the ground 2 feet in front of home plate and still found a hole. A pitcher isn’t bad or good based on whether a 5 hopper finds a hole. I’m wondering what that 86 mph ball with no break or movement that Ozuna hit 5 miles foul was? Slider...

Big change for tonight, GDT 5/10

I’m talking about Chip saying that. And what’s so odd about someone who coaches and works with hitters on a daily basis being able to diagnose a thing or two about a swing? Surely, 20 yrs is enough time to know more than the casual fan, I’d think. And you’re the same know-nothing that...

Big change for tonight, GDT 5/10

These clowns who think Acuña homering has something to do with him batting leadoff..... Clearly, the signs were there in the past few games with Acuña driving the ball to the off field, staying inside the ball instead of all the ground balls pull-side.

    GDT 5/8 Folty vs Kershaw

Minter is the same pitcher he was last season. Lacks an out pitch so his command has to be almost pin point for him to be effective. He leaves a lot of cookies for hitters to tee off on. He can be valuable, used correctly. But definitely not a closer.

    GDT: 5/05 - Braves finale @ Marlins

Yeah Washington should probably catch some heat from his bosses on that one.

    4/29 GDT Soroka vs Padres

As someone who works with hitters regularly, I’d say Jeff is just making a guess at best. That slight of a tilt won’t make someone with elite bat speed late regularly. Acuña is already unusual as he has minimal bat tip compared to most hitters. Baseball is tough. It’s not easy to keep your swing...

GDT: 4/8 Tehearn Takes on Coors

This constantly bugs me about Chip and his “shift” talk: Is Freddie beating the shift if he lines it into left field? Beating an infield shift would mean a ground ball through a vacated left side of the infield. Right?? An infield shift plays no role in a line drive over the infield.

10/08/18 GDT NLDS GAME 4: Dodgers @ Braves The Final Final Game of 2018

Lol you act like they issue walks for some other reason than they just lack command. Did you play baseball? Throwing strikes is tough or everyone would do it well :)
