05/17/21 GDT: Mets (Walker) @ Braves (Fried) No Ender vs a RHP

About a decade ago I worked in the Durham Bulls clubhouse. Sean Rodriguez was down on rehab and punched a hole in the wall because a teammate wouldn't let him choose the postgame music. Also broke his hand. Amazing that professional athletes can get so pissed that they forget how many millions their hands are worth.

he’s started a total of 13 games at the major-league level…
I don't not like the guy, but what has he actually done to give him a leash they haven't given to some other pitchers? For a pitcher who was deemed most pro ready, most tools, almost can't miss...it's fair to wonder when that'll kick in. He's been mediocre in the minors too.

No one wants the guy to fail...but he's Josh Tomlin without the 19th round pick designation.

And with 0 consistency. I don't think he has ever been in the rotation for more than a couple of weeks at a time. Obviously, it's not a great time to be throwing someone like that into the fire, but not sure we have a better option. I also wouldn't argue with Davidson or Wilson getting an extended look.

I just want them to give Wilson, Wright, or Davidson a string of starts. No demotion as soon as the start is over. Give one of them a shot till soroka or ynoa are back or it is obvious it's not gonna work

It's always fair to question how the Braves handle these young arms. There are successes so we can't discount that, but I always feel we never know what we have due to the yo-yo method with some of these pitchers. Of course some of them wet the bed pretty consistently.
