10/15/20 GDT: NLCS game 4 Dodgers “@“ Braves

Yeah, it's a short sample size, but Pache 100% looks the part. Working the counts, not looking overmatched, and certainly not showing that the moment is too big for him.

Not saying he's going to be a superstar, but he looks like a starting CFer in every manner of the definition.

He watched some pretty good sliders and changeups down and away. Took them like he recognized the pitch and location very early. Super impressed.

If there is a pitch to master as a backend guy, it’s the fastball. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is one of those guys who throws that pitch 60-80% of the time.

Maddux made a living off that pitch. Thanks to him it's honestly my favorite pitch to watch against lefties when done well.

For serious, I might give the series MVP to Bryse after that performance. 22 year old kid who hasn't pitched much this year or at all over the last 2 weeks, comes in and outduels future HOFer Clayton Kershaw, and against the best offense in baseball.

Legend status reached.

I was thinking the same thing.

I was thinking the same thing.

I mean everyone had us losing last night, including most on here. His performance and that win just feels like the series changed. I know we were already up 2-1 in the series, but I really think that was a gut punch for the Dodgers. Hopefully we close it out tonight.

AJ Minter will make the start tonight

I want a BW's stuff thread!!!!!!!!!!

Still think he has a chance to be a fifth starter, but I still like him more as a multi-inning RP. Not a tomlin style mop up guy. A weapon like Andrew Miller was for a while. Miller is probably too high of expectations but I'd love to have BW and TM paired as righty/lefty versions of nasty in the pen.

Betts is the one to worry about. He's been in bit of funk this series (like Acuna for us), but you can't expect to keep him down forever.

It was clearly just a mistake. The announcement of Smith was pretty slow coming and Snitker was caught up in the game. I'm glad he learned that lesson without any negative ultimate impact to the team.

Right. He got caught up in the moment.

It wasn't a mistake based on bad process, he just lost track of the timing I would guess.
