2015 NFL Draft

I get Douglas. I don't get Blalock or Massaquoi. We have a lot of space now thought. 31M after picks. Got to sign Julio. 100% have to.

I kinda get Blalock since he's a pretty poor fit for the zone blocking scheme.

Massaquoi just angered people. Never seemed to get his fair shake.

I guess that's true, but are any other of our linemen good for zone blocking?

Hawley, Matthews, Asamoah are all regarded as athletic enough to be effective in the ZBS.

What I'm worried about is replacing Blalock's pass protection. He's always graded out highly in that respect (while mostly below average in run block).

Id take Hardy in the 4th quick.

Saw where we were connected with Lockette in the 2nd, and Orchard in tbe 3rd in NFL war room with Beasely at 8.

I'd look for a RB all along as well. We need bodies there.

Rollins would be an interesting choice for FS\CB that Quinn may really like... draft him and find a spot.

1. Beasely DE
2. Lockette WR
3. Gilmore ILB
4. Langford RB
5. Mitch Morse OG

Or something like

1. Gregory DE
2. Rollins CB\S
3. Rashad Greene WR
4. David Johnson RB (probably won't last that long)

Is what I'd like for ATL.

Gregory should go lower than 8. He needs to get a lot bigger and stronger and has off the field concerns. Plus, he didn't interview well at all.

With the numbers Vic put up at the combine I prefer him to just about anyone not named Gregory. He (Gregory) does have concerns but nothing that isn't workable...he may have the highest ceiling. Vic was bigger, faster, and stronger than I had believed. Colors him in more of a 3 down guy category than before.

For defensive linemen, the interview process is really not that important. OL need to be kind of smart, DL can be some of the dumbest players on the field. Ithink the Falcons may go Beasley as he's more in the mold of the physical abilities that QUinn wants.

There will not be an update on my mock this week. Last week, my laptop failed and is still in the shop until maybe early next week. Too difficult to do on my phone.

It is important. With a lot of these guys you have to weight the risk of off the field issues.

I like Kendricks too but I am developing a man crush on his teammate Owamagbe Odighizuwa. Top performer at 5 of 7 drills he did at combine. 33 3/4 inch arms with 11 inch hands. Didnt put up great stats but watching game tape he causes a lot of disruption. Good instincts, plays with disciplne, has a good motor, and can disengage and make tackles on rb if he is anywhere close to the ball carrier.

Word on him is he has had hip injuries. Can't stay healthy... Should be there early\mid second.

Mock draft monitor for the Falcons has the Falcons taking all rushers.

5 for Beasley
3 for Ray
2 for Gregory
1 for Dupree

I saw a mock with us taking Dupree, the logic was he was safer than Gregory. I'd rather us take Gregory personally.

Gregory is taking a lot of heat for a disappointing weigh in. If that causes him to drop to the Falcons at 8 then great. I don't mind having the highest ceiling rusher in the draft.
