Both Nesloney and Mooney are seniors. Neslony should be easy enough once Tech is done in the CWS. Don't know what Mooney is waiting for; he has no leverage.

Other than that he could blow the whole draft class if he doesn't sign.

All Josh Anthony is rumored to be asking for is 275,000 plus school. (Only 175,000) would count against Braves. If they don't do that, they are nuts.
 
i believe MLB allows for teams to pay for athletes college, and that money does not count against the team's pool. Basically given a full paid scholarship. The only money that would count is the 175k that they go over his 100k limit.

This is reminding me of the Rendon situation where he wanted an extra 50K to sign out of H.S. and the Braves wouldn't pony up. Hopefully they do in this situation.

Methinks they had to get Cumberland done first to see where they stood on their budget. Remember, they have until July 15 to sign anyone.
 
Heyman on twitter saying the Braves have a deal in place for Anderson for 4 million... wonder if that leaves much room at all to sign Nesloney and Mooney plus some other over slots after round 10

I've got us as $91,200 over slot with $4 million for Anderson.

Never saw a number for Hyssong, but if everyone left signed for slot, we'd have $70,005 left without going over the 5% allowance.

wow that is really close. and the Braves can ill afford to lose next years draft pick.. should be a top 5.

My sources indicate that Hyssong was among the first to agree to terms; that would likely speak to a very good number for Atlanta.
