2016 Postseason Thread

How many pitches will Miller throw? They can't really ask him to go out there again right?

Also, there's a reason Andrew Miller is a relief pitcher. I know he's been incredible, but the dude can't pitch four or five innings every night.

Would seem to me you'd want to save a guy like Lester in the event it turns into a 15-inning game.

You dont save guys. The chances of extra innings is slim. Plus, you are going to have like 3-4 pitcher go in the first 9 (tops). Lackey is available.

Again, you're not saving Lester. Hendricks is a better pitcher, and Lester pitched 3 days ago. You don't keep Hendricks in to save Lester for later, you keep Hendricks in so that Hendricks is still pitching instead of Lester.

Nah bringing in Lester is ok, but Hendricks had one bad inning all night and the ump screwed him.

You had a 4 run lead, with 2 outs.

I would have brought him in but this is way too early, how far can he realistically go.

Miller hasnt pitched since Saturday or Sunday i think.

But still a fair point.

I understand that and already said that. There was no need to take him out.

Lackey is available, but what if he gets in trouble? Gonna go to those other relievers you apparently don't trust? Always better to have those long-range arms just in case.

You go with best arms to worst. You don't throw inferior pitchers to save better pitchers for unlikely extras.
