I would have kept in Hendricks.

I have no problem pulling Hendricks. My issue was with bringing Lester in the middle of an inning with a runner on base.

There's no getting around it. It was pure over-managing. The double switch is more incomprehensible.

With Lester ready to go 2 innings there is no reason to let Hendricks face the middle of the Indian lineup for a 3rd time in the 6th. I would not have brought Lester in with a runner on base though.

But Lester is not a guy you let go 2 IP just because he's can. He doesn't usually come out of the pen, he hasn't been phenomenal lately, he's on short rest, and Hendricks is better.

This isn't even competitive at all. Indians are so overmatched and have a bad offense outside 1 or 2 hitters.

That was terrible by Maddon.

Hendricks had him struck out, but got boned by a bad zone.

Also not sure how far Lester can go.
