2016 Presidential Primaries [ SUPER TUESDAY | 3-1-'16]

The problem with that 50 is, the neo-cons will bring up islamic terrorism, ISIS, etc. to bring people out to continue pushing neo-con foreign policy which really really separates the neo-cons from libertarians.

So Obama is a neocon, at least you admit it.

I don't consider Obama a neo-con, at least in the same form of neo-con as Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld were.

I do think Obama tried something different and I was supportive of trying something different. I don't think he's a crusader the way that Bush 43 was. Still, the bottom line is it's a dangerous world at a level. I frankly don't know what really could have been done differently in the Mideast short of an on-going occupying force. The whole "whatever it is" in that part of the world is like Creeping Charlie. You can uproot it, but a day later, it's back and then some. I side with Rand Paul in the realpolitik sense that order is preferable to disorder and as lousy as those dictators were (and some still are), the United States' short-term interest was stability and you don't get stability by starting a prairie fire. Further, you don't overthrow the dictators and then try to restore order on the cheap as the Bush administration did. He acted as though he thought Iraq was going to be his Grenada. And Obama hasn't made the situation any better. He's been an inconsistent neo-con in some sense. Kind of like a drunken parent who only disciplines when he's sober. In fairness, he inherited a situation not of his own making, but when you're President, you still have to deal with the hand you're dealt.

Texas a Purple State ?

Tony Blair stepped down as Middle East envoy today. Hear Barack has already submitted his résumé for consideration.

Also read that Castro, the token Democratic Latino VP candidate, cannot talk the Spanish.

I can't wait for the first GOP debate. I'm kind of disappointed they haven't started yet. The 2012 season kicked off with debates in Q1 2011. We're 7 months away from Iowa and no debates yet.

I don't think the first debate this time around is until August, and the last I heard is they'll only allow up to 10 Republicans.

I have no idea why Carson, Huckabee and Santorum all have to run. Must just be an ego thing at this point.

Money they'll get from campaign and television appearances afterwards. Cain runs a website, blog and podcast now. Good money for him and keeps his name out there. It keeps them relevant to conservative media for many more years.

No mention of Biden.

Forgetting d his family issues was wondering what happened to his POTUS aspirations

I seriously hope they'll allow more than 10 of them on the stage. It would be entertaining for 90 minutes non stop.

There's 9 running. That doesn't include Bush, Walker and Perry, all are likely slam dunks to run. And doesn't include Christie, Jindal, or Kasich, who could run. I don't think Christie runs, I think he's gonna run for Menendez's seat, Menendez's seat will be up for reelection in 2018 when Christie will be done being Governor.

lindsey graham, Santorum and trump
