The feeding frenzy for pitchers continues. Susac is a guy the Braves really could have used long term.

I'm starting to think the Braves screwed themselves with all the "Teheran is not available" talk.

I highly doubt they're telling other teams that they won't listen on Teheran. They probably just want an extreme amount in return that's too much even with the current price of doing business for pitchers.

Winter is coming. Not trading JT now isnt alarming to me. Sale and Archer are sitting out there as well, and they were deemed available. Teams are going to hold out for a big price and they know, especially with these controllable aces, that the winter meetings is a GREAT time to dangle these aces.

Starting to think that? You have been saying that for months!

Similar to others on here, I am not too worried. I would be fine with him getting traded, based on a great return or course, but waiting until Winter is not bad... and I still think he has a lot of value to the Braves. If his value to the Braves is at least equal to his value to other teams, then keep him.

I have been for keeping Teheran, but ONLY if the Braves were going to push for 80+ wins next year by acquiring average or better players for LF, C, 3B and a MOR pitcher. The Braves traded for Kemp (a below average player) to fill LF, thus making it impossible to fulfill the requirement I had in my mind to justify keeping Teheran.

Now, I'm afraid the Braves are going to be awful again next year, and they will have wasted another valuable year of Julio's contract. And they will have missed the biggest pitcher feeding frenzy I have ever seen.
 
Looks like the Yankees are going to move Beltran. I think this could open things up for a Markakis-McCann deal.
