Problem is that every one is looking for pitching.. so marginal numbers like that are not going to attract many suitors. I could see the Mets tossing us another C prospect to get him.. but really don't see a lot of fits anywhere else.
 
As reported earlier, it is now showing on MLBtraderumors that we appear close to trading Jim Johnson, sounds like either the Blue Jays or Mets are in on him. States we have 10 arms in the pen tonight which could be a sign.

The rumor the other day is that the Braves were scouting Desmond Lindsay, the Mets' 2nd-round pick in 2015. RHH OF.

Braves and Brewers have had talks about Lucroy. Braves don't like asking price plus what the extension would cost but they may revisit talks later. Per talking chop
 
If the Braves did land Lucroy and Braun and then somehow got Desmond for 3b then the plan for next year could come true. Probably not WS contenders but I could see them getting a WC spot.
 
Sounds like the Dodgers and Reds might be working on another 3 team deal where Jay Bruce would land in L.A.......please god do not let us be anywhere near that deal!
 
I don't know how it happens but I just feel like we are gonna get Puig. Could be cheap but would not be excited about it

I feel pretty confident the Braves have no interest in Puig. There will be a moratorium on guys with known off-field concerns for a couple years, I think.

Hope so... Just got a feeling we are the third team and he's coming to us. JJ goes to them... Reds get a couple of decent prospects from both teams
