Don't think Flowers is going anywhere...... AJ, on the other hand needs to be replaced sooner rather than later.
I think the Braves should just trade fo Mac in the offseason. He makes the most sense out of any of the options. He'll likely won't cost a huge haul prospect wise, he only has 2 more years under contract, and he's the perfect platoon partner for Floewers. I'm fairly surprised there hasn't already been more talk about them moving him during the season given the current market for catchers and the Yankees apparently in sell mode.

I'm fine with Mac if its a platoon thing. He could also give Freeman a day off at first every once in a while
Hmmm. Has he been playing any 1B for the Yankees? We talked about it on the board a few times while he was here, but it didn't ever seem close to actually happening.

McCann has full no trade clause... can't imagine he'd say no to home though. Sherman says Yanks don't seem to be willing to eat much if any of the money and still want real prospects back... yuck

That is crazy. He is a 17 mil a year platoon player at this point. They are idiots. He is worth more to us than ANYone else. We have the cash and we still wouldn't pay him that AND give up a good prospect. Most teams would just find it laughable that someone would take his contract on. The Yanks can shove it.

The Yankees are in a tough spot when it comes to McCann. Gary Sanchez looks impressive and seems to be ready for a significant role now, and certainly by next year. Cashman has been pretty careful with $ in recent years, so they would obviously prefer not to pay McCann $17m per year to be in a part-time or pure backup role. With McCann's full no-trade clause, it's not far-fetched to think that ATL is the only destination he would accept (still makes his home there). Coppy is holding all the cards here.
