They need to be aggressively shopping both. There is no reason for Frenchy to be on this team on August 2nd or later. Neck is a harder sell but still has value to teams in the playoff hunt.

#Braves and #Padres have completed the Olivera-for-Kemp deal, pending physicals. Exactly 1 yr after Braves traded for Olivera from Dodgers.
 
Done deal pending medical checks (which isn't routine in this instance with Kemp involved... but probably gets done).

Now let's see the $ figures.
 
As I prepare myself for disappointment on the $ . . . If we do end up overpaying here, at least it's an overpayment of money and not high-upside prospects. Don't want to be wasteful with either obviously, but wasting $ somehow doesn't feel as bad.
 
Say we do get Kemp for 9 million a year. Couldn't we flip him to an AL team and pay 3-4 million a year of his salary and still save money while getting something useful back? Kemp at 5-6 million a year would be a steal as your DH.

Screw the money. New park and more revenue....money is no concern. Personally I'm glad to see a new face in the lineup who can drop bombs on this sh*tty team...seriously, what's the issue that some of you are having?
