It's also why i dont see us in on QO guys, we need all our draft picks given the international limitations.

Our farm is good, but the depth after the top 12 or so is very, very thin. I do think we'll make some trades but given what happened in Toronto and learning what LA does, i think he'll be smart in trades. But we'll see. Braves window wont last forever though.

Actually hoping we trade some slot money for another comp pick. That would go a very long way to reload the system.

I would have done Dansby, Julio and a guy like Wiegel or something for Segura in a second. Still baffled as it only took Santana/Crawford for him.

Rosenthal said the M's value Haniger very highly and it would take a haul to land him, and they dont wanna add any salary with him in a trade.

As it should, honestly. I love trading and making moves as much as anyone, and I'm not one who often overacts to players, but I absolutely think Haniger is worth a big haul. He checks every box we need, is a good defender, good-to-great hitter and completely takes our lineup to the next level.

The concern i have with Haniger is, was last year a trend or a fluke? But yes, the Braves do have the prospect capital to land him. Whether he's available or AA makes a move for him, is anyones guess.

I'm ok pricing him as a 2.5 win player. To price him as a 4 win player would be a mistake.

If they're punting the next 2 years it would be dumb to hold on to Haniger.

If they're planning on trading Seager, which I think they will, Riley sure would look good for their future plans.

I'm not sure of Haniger's surplus value, but a deal based around Riley and pitching could make sense.

Dude just has a good feel for hitting. He's not perfect, but he's a damn good hitter and we'll be really stupid to not get him if we can.

Acuna RF
Haniger LF
Freeman 1B
Donaldson 3B
Albies 2B
Ender CF
Mac/Flowers C
Swanson SS

That is an INSANELY deep lineup.

Agreed, and I'd do it. I'm sure it'll be a really hard deal for Atlanta as it'd probably be at least Riley, Wright/Touki and another top-tier guy, but I'm for it.

Well you gotta give to get, and the Braves cant keep all these guys while trying to win now. The window wont stay open forever.

I dont know what a trade package would look like for Haniger but it would cost a lot. Only players i'd hold onto are one of Waters/Pache, i dont think both will be on the Braves by 2020, and i wouldnt trade Contreras. He's like our only catcher prospect worth a damn right now.

I'd offer something like Riley, one of Soroka/Wright/Anderson/Touki, Wiegel and Muller/Wentz. Probably too much but gotta give something up. Two of Wright/Soroka/Touki/Anderson with Riley would be tough on AA. But we do have two first round picks to use, including a top 10 pick so there's some offsetting there. Assuming we can actually sign them this time around.

If you look at his 2017 stats they are very similar to his 2018 stats. He just had 273 less plate appearances.

He's certainly the best fit, im not a big as fan of Peralta as everyone is here. I'd want an everyday guy, not a platoon type.

That's fine. We have the prospects to match up, both major league ready and ones further away with high upside.

Same line as the year prior. That's 1.5 years of the same level of play, and nearly an identical minor league line as well.
