Per DoB: "Anthopoulos said #Braves have talked to lot of agents but don't have any offers out to any players. “I wouldn’t expect by the time that we leave the meetings that we’ll have anything done for a starter or reliever, as we sit here today. You guys know that that can change fast.""
#Braves' Anthopoulos added, “Postion player-wise, I’d say the same thing. I think we have a better handle on certain guys, but I’d say probably similar (to pitchers), we’re not close (to doing a deal) right now.”
Where is Iran Capital City, Dirty Sanchez and Newc?

I would love Gallo. He's projected for a 3.5 win season, he'll hit 40+ homers, his defense is passable, he's got 4 years of control left, and he's financially pretty cheap... I think he'd be a reasonable target for us. The whole idea of him being a "rally killer" is pretty archaic thinking.
I dislike Heyward as much as anyone here. You missed the part of my post where I suggested the cubs eat 60% of his salary. If you believe the projections on him being a 2 war player then paying him less than 10 million a year would give you a 2 war player for a 1 war cost.
Phillies got good production from their rotation last year, so not sure this moves the needle much. But they definitely are improving, if only incrementally. Still, they are tying up a good bit of money on aging players, which generally is not a good recipe for success..
Chris Dimino says, "If JT is pitching second in this rotation you probably haven't done the work you wanted to do this offseason."
Anyone who thinks Julio will be the #2 in this rotation even if no other additions are made knows very little about the Braves roster. That’s an incredibly dumb statement to make.
