Teheran gets the opening day nod not surprise after Folty injury
6 million isn’t that much money. But I think at the end of the year he might be overpaid. I am not sure he is going to be more than a zero war player. Second half neck is what I expect.
If we are in it at the deadline and we have a chance at Haniger or another really good OFer then Markakis won’t stand in the way of us upgrading.
Would much rather see what Pache does during his first half than start targeting an OF at this point - if AA's going to package several pieces, the TOR arm might be a better target.

Phillies like Fortniite; Santana doesn't

why pay more for haniger at the deadline than this offseason then?
He supposedly wasn’t available. And it gives AA more time to evaluate the guys in the minors.
He's had 16 months to evaluate the farm system.

If we are in a playoff chance then I’d rather not bring up an unproven rookie to help make the push and let him take his lumps.
i'll maintain that when markakis is really bad, an OF won't be acquired to push nick to the bench because we are the Braves

So why wouldn’t they look to upgrade if they are in a playoff chase and Neck isn’t cutting it?
