The Marlins can't be this dumb...

They are starting down the path towards not trading JTR at all and completely wasting his value on a losing team.

Here is another line you can add to your signature if you’d like.

The Marlins will win as many playoff series as the Braves in 2019.

Yes and Bellinger is too.

Value isn't as important for some teams (Dodgers) as it is for others (Braves). The Dodgers have deep pockets and want to win now, what do they care about losing a little FV to try and capitalize on their window. That's what the Marlins are banking on.

1) Bellinger for JTR is not a win now move

2) They lose more than just a little FV

Wrong, as usual...Dynamic Duo of Dumb strikes again! Derrrrp. The two of you should join up with garmel and create the Truculent Triumvirate of Twits! TToT assseemmmmmmbbbblllllleee!!!

The Dodgers have consistently shown they hold value very highly, and it governs every single move they make.

The difference is the Dodgers can afford to field a perennial 90-95 game winner while the Braves have to shoot for fielding a perennial 85-90 game winner.

I don't know how you could look at a team that thrives off getting the max out of low cost guys like Max Muncy, Chris Taylor, Justin Turner (At the time), and Kike Hernandez and think that they don't appreciate value. I'd contend that the biggest reason for their sustained success is the fact that they keep acquiring all these cheap cast offs and turning them into 3 win players at an extremely low cost. That allows them to use their absurd payroll space to fill the rest of the roster with whoever the heck they want. The Dodgers don't ignore value because they have tons of money, they embrace value more than almost any other organization and it leads to them having one of the deepest teams in the league right now. They have like 5 or 6 outfielders that I'd sell my left nut to have starting in our outfield. That's insanity.

you can get there pretty easily with ignorance.

Wish we would have gotten him but now the Phillies probably dont go after Craig Kimbrel.

Which means him signing in ATL keeps getting more likely .

for 2 years $23M??
you guys are nuts. we should not be signing RP to those kinds of deals.
kimbrel included.

The Cutch and Brantley deals certainly warrant some concern from Braves fans. However, there are still good options to fill cOF, but those options are dwindling.

This Robertson signing has zero relevance to the Braves.

I'm convinced at this point that cOF is going to be addressed through trade and that there are numerous possibilities for us to target. I'd say there are about 15 guys who could be seen as potential targets, with probably 6-7 of them being available in a reasonable scenario for us. I'm still not worried about filling that spot. The lack of a signing concerns me more because of what it may say about our budget in 2019 and beyond.
