I really think he is waiting for Harper/machado to sign. Boston Philadelphia and Atlanta may consider him.

I doubt he needs to go to a 1 year deal

If Gray was the 70% reference, it’s certainly logical that a trade involving a SP is also coming soon.

Gray plus Frazier, dump Duvall, sign CarGo/Markakis is a pretty low cost offseason that qualifies as “complete”.

I’m also of this mindset. I don’t think Gray is a meaningful upgrade, but it seems destined to happen.

Frazier is 100% speculation in my part. I’ve never seen a credible rumor linking him to the Braves.

More likely it'd be one of Kahnle/Holder, imo. I could imagine Allard being the centerpiece here.

Frazier is a GA boy...it would make sense. I just don’t think he would be much if any of a upgrade over Duvall.

If Allard was the center piece...I would be ok with that. I literally think any other of our top young pitchers would be an expensive, lateral move. I don’t think Gray has any better of a year than Touki or a healthy Soroka and he probably doesn’t even do as well.

To me...get Kluber or stick with the young guys. Madbum on the cheap would be ok...he won’t be on the cheap. Will make 20 mil AND will require a ton of prospect capitol.

I like AA’s approach so far. He is going to get value or he will not make the move. Gausman was a great trade. He keeps to that blueprint...we will do fine.
 
Focusing on 3b and SP when they have Camargo, Riley, and a million pitching prospects, while leaving holes at C and cOF seems like a suboptimal strategy to me.

It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

DOB literally knows nothing. He was adamant the Braves weren't in on JT then majority backpedaled after more info kept leaking out.
 
I don’t think DOB is in the new FO loop like he was with the old regime but I hope he’s right about Gray bc he’s not an upgrade for us.
