Certainly would make sense for the Dodgers given how bad their pen has been in front of Jansen. The question is, would Pederson be that big an upgrade over Palka's .824 OPS as a platoon guy?

Yes, I'd take either starting over Duvall (Parra if someone twisted my arm into a decision) especially if we also trade for JTR. I'm more of an old school eye test guy but I also believe Parra can get back in the 2.0 WAR neighborhood from a few seasons ago.

Financially, this is a great deal. To me, this just screams we go after JTR or a TOR starting pitcher in a trade. For now, we're looking at Ender CF, Donaldson 3B, Freeman 1B, Acuna LF, Markakis RF, Albies 2B, Mac/Flowers C, Swanson SS.

Very disappointing.

Opening day payroll currently sits right at $110M, flat or down from last year.

In the unlikely event they are going to add another cOF this likely means he will be a RHH.
