Oh yeah let me be clear... Albies main issue is without a doubt plate discipline. Its something that has to improve moving forward. I'm just saying that for about a month, Ozzie has had some occasions where he has taken some pretty ugly swings that have resulted in weaker contact than typical for him. Maybe some of that is due to him chasing pitches out of the zone as well, but I also think some of it is him just being a little out of sorts mechanically. I haven't seen these issues in his mechanics the past couple of games fortunately
Just FWIW ---- Race to ROY
In major categories Soto vs Acuna--
Soto 92 GP, 323 ABs, 93 hits, 20 Dbls, 1 Trip, 16 HR, 63/79 BB/K, 2 SB/2 CS, .303 Avg, .417 OBP, .520 Slg, .937 OPS
Acuna 85 GP, 331 ABs, 98 hits, 22 Dbls, 1 Trip, 23 HR, 30/92 BB/K, 11 SB/4 CS .291 Avg, .361 OBP, .577 Slg, .938 OPS
How are the individual cats valued by voters? Major difference in BB/K, OBP, HR, and SB?CS.
Wouldn’t it be nice if Acuna was doing all this damage with a couple high OBP guy hitting in front of him.

I thought there was no way Ronald could have caught Soto. After today here is how the Soto/Acuna OPS race is shaking out:
Acuna: .948
Soto: .922
Who would have thought that Acuna would not only have caught Soto at this point, but passed him by 26 points. Dude is having the most insane streak of rookie hitting I've ever seen.
Ronald has 25 home runs and 13 stolen bases with 20 games left.
Considering he was called up late and missed a month due to injury, I'd say I was closer to being correct than Enscheff was. Haha.
But.
A bet is a bet. And he is simply not going to have the SB numbers.
So I will honor my word.
It has been real, Chop Country. Take care of Ronald for me. He's a star.
I'm vetoing the bet. You can stay. Just promise me you'll stop making stupid bets.
you gonna pardon Manafartov next?I'm vetoing the bet. You can stay. Just promise me you'll stop making stupid bets.

Soto hasn’t really even slumped. RAJ is simply on a monster streak
What acuna is doing ops wise is what I thought a prime season for him would look like. Doing it at 20 puts him on a different trajectory.
What he's doing shouldn't be legal. I expected his OPS to hover just above .700 most of the year, maybe with a hot streak near the end to push it up over .750. .950 is crazy talk.

A lot of people are asking me if I will give Taylortov a pardon. I don't know we'll see. Right now we're looking at a lot of different things. What I can tell you is what's happening right now is a total disgrace. Nothing but a total witch hunt.
This decision is gonna be YUGE. I'll be watching your twitter feed and r/The_Ronald for updates.
