He looks like a ball-in-play guy to me. Doesn't walk or K much with the possibility of average power. Maybe that's the new market inefficiency.
Which idiot let Willians Austudillo slip away?

Shewmake at 21 is weird. Questions about him at shortstop. Not much power.
I can be positive about the Langeliers pick. This one sucks.
Really? I didn't realize they relied so heavily on analytics when scouting amateur talent.
Reasonable take after the Braves won the NL East, are 1 game off the division lead this year, and haven’t traded away a single prospect of note to accomplish it.
Lousy!!

They rely heavily on trackman data. Maybe the Braves know something others don’t.
AA is a lousy GM. Always has been.

But i guess they are going overslot at 60 or it's an odd pick.
Also didn't acquire any of them. About all you can say is he hasn't hurt the team. He's done very little that has helped.

Agreed, he got Acuna/Albies to sign for the next decade on team friendly deals. Team won the East last year, and he hasnt touched the farm in a big trade yet, he's an awful GM.
I don’t like either pick all that much, but I like how we are committed to an analytics based draft approach. If you aren’t willing to trust your models enough to make decisions based off of them then what’s the point of having them?
Besides, the guys we pick were ballpark of where Klaw had them ranked on his big board so it’s not as if these guys are completely out of left field.
That logic breaks down when you realize they could have just taken that guy at 21, and got a similar SS at 60.
If he dipped into the farm and traded guys at the height of their value I'd be impressed. He's done very little as the GM except establish financial flexibility. Now he's hired a complete idiot to run our drafts. Don't expect that pipeline of talent to continue.
