2019 Trade Deadline Thread:

Marte and Vazquez for Wright, Wilson, Wentz and Contreras

I just plugged a Marte and Vazquez deal into baseball trade values. That package wouldn’t even come close. We’d need to shell out something along the lines of Camargo Wright Wilson and Jenista to get something done. I mean I’d probably still do it but I’m pretty low on that whole group.

A couple relievers. Let's say Mychal Givens and Keone Kela.

I'm gonna go crazy. I say we do pick up an outfielder... Ian Happ. I've lot my mind, but if I'm right it'll be an all time greatest prediction.

I'm also gonna say a couple relievers, I'll go with Tony Watson and Keone Kela.

Rangers for a 1 stop shop.

Minor, Pence, and Leclerc for Wright, Touki, Michael Harris, Wes Parsons and O'Day (to off-set some cash).

I'm going with Greinke. I get the feeling that AA would rather spend cash than give up prospects. Greinke is owed a ton and that should mean giving up less player assets. He's affordable for us in that 2 year window.

That’s supposed to be better than the other proposal?

The short answer is yes. Camargo is at present a more valuable asset than Wentz and Contreras combined and by a pretty decent margin as well. Jenista is by far the 4th piece in the deal and could be subbed for something like Allard or Ynoa and Dean or even Wentz if we could get back a lottery ticket we like.

Mark Feinsand from MLB.com: Based on conversations today, it seems as though the Red Sox, Nationals, Dodgers and Cubs are the most aggressive teams out there looking for bullpen help. The Braves are, too, though an outfielder currently appears to be Atlanta's top priority.

He was the first to report us as the leader for Keuchel, so I think he's someone to believe.

I think AA has little budget left after the Keuchel signing, which will limit his interest in taking on contracts for 2019.

We don’t know if they would give that up or not. 95% of what we hear on the rumor market is misinformation

May be. Seems to me the Mets would be crazy not to accept Whitley or Tucker and the Astro's probably should go ahead and pay the price. Unless the Mets are being unrealistic with their asking price (i.e. both Tucker and Whitley)
