Would you mind giving me your definition of socialism? I may ask others but since you are definitely on the side opposing it I would like to hear you list and briefly define what you think it is. No tricks, no setup, I really just want to know your definition of it. Thanks

The government dictating that resources are drawn from one entity and distributed to another.

i think we were founded on government-sanctioned takings...no? even when we were wee colonies we apparently were socialists...it is deep in our history

That's why I'm trying to get a definition from sturg on what socialism really is. I believe socialism is literally the least understood word in this country right now, but in order to be fair I'd like to know how other people define it and then we can try and compare/contrast them.
 
I think its safe to say Kamala Harris is going to be Biden's VP pick. The knock on her is she will say and do anything to get elected otherwise known as Hillary Clinton disease. Personally I think thats incorrect because Hillary deliberately chose positions that were opposite of what polls showed voters wanted and then lost by a fraction of a percent. She thought the election was so much of a layup that she could just sell her positions to the highest bidder and still get elected. And Since I got sidetracked if Chelsea ever wants to run using the Clinton propaganda machine with an actual populist agenda I could support it. She doesnt really come off as the corrupt monster that Hillary and Bill do.

Whoever it is, I hope he's already made up his mind weeks ago. There's no reason why the decision should take this long, other than waiting to announce only when he's good and ready.
