Is there ?

Nixon? Southern strategy

Reagaen ? He announced his candidacy in Philadelphia Mississippi. Welfare queens in Cadillacs

Bush41? Willie Horton and, Willie Horton

Bush 43? Katrina- Iraq. McCains adopted daughter

I would argue neither McCain or Romney stirred up the "base" damning their chances

If you can't see the difference between the Bush presidents and Reagan and Trump, I can't help you. It's like saying Bill Clinton is the same as Bernie Sanders because they both support healthcare reform.

McCain and Romney lost because they went up against the Obama juggernaut.

2016 was different. There was a segment of the population that was ready for a demagogue and flocked to Trump. They carried him through the nomination and turned out in large enough numbers to put him in the White House.

I'm ready for things to swing back from extremism towards more moderate politics. Guys like Bush 41 and Bill Clinton would never be able to get their party's nomination right now as they were way too centerist.

Both Bush's knew what would put them over the top in (R) politics.
Both had the stomach for it.
to put it kindly

Romney and MCCain not so much.

It is naive to think neither Romney or McCain wouldn't have won had they gone to the ends of both Bush's .
Shoot, even Sarah Palin knew that

When trump increases his electoral count people like nsacpi will still believe the polls in 2024.

how much you want to bet?

what new states is he gonna get?

while holding on to the ones he barely won last time

Back to thethe's obsession, let's remember that Karl Marx simply pointed out the socio-economic phenomenon of the flaws of Capitalism. He just named it. It's not his fault if it people come to reject American capitalism just like he said they would.

Lol, cant wait until Trump no longer has the ability to use the government to retaliate so other world leaders can tell us how they really feel about the Teflon Don. Trump being an ass to them and then insisting we he has such a good relationship with them grinds my gears.

They reject it so hard while tweeting anti-capitalist tweets from their iPhones and drinking coffee made from beans from plantations that exploit indigenous peoples. People don't actually want to do away with capitalism. They want capitalism quietly working away in the background paired with a government that gives them free stuff.

I saw the dummy plan to save the post office by organizing a national pen pal program.

Wonder where that fits in the green new deal.

Lol

The Dems need to stop saying "systemic racism" and "implicit bias" or whatever terms they're using now. White folks do NOT want to hear it and will never admit it because they've convinced themselves that they are not racist.

Yeah and no. Systemic bias is real. And we should want to do something about it. But woke language is something middle America doesn't appreciate. So the politically savvy thing is to do something about it while soft-pedaling the language. Practical people understand action/policy is more important than language.

Except from the Prez of course

ha...well he is a special case of venality and incompetence

not surprisingly you are happy to play the obtuseness card

if you can't acknowledge the risks he poses to this country by now, I don't think any combination of facts and analysis will open your eyes

yeah...i know obama droned your guy...without due process no less
