Did I miss where the dude killed in Portland was attacking his murderer with pepper spray? (genuinely asking - I haven't heard or seen that)

There is a clip showing it, including audio. But in my book that does not make it close to self defense. The response is completely disproportionate.

Two interesting numbers from CNN poll. 87% of Trump voters say there is no way they will change their mind. 94% of Biden voters say the same.

Trump supporters lie to pollsters out of fear. That will be clear comr the 3rd.

The videos are embedded in this article.

From the article:

The livestream shows the man in white walking by himself toward the Justice Center and crossing the street one block south. One minute and 43 seconds later, Mr. Dunlap turns his camera toward the sound of shouting.

What happens next occurs within six seconds.

The man in white and another man dressed in black can be seen crossing the street, apparently to confront Mr. Danielson and Mr. Pappas.

There is shouting that is hard to hear on Mr. Dunlap’s livestream, but in a second video filmed by Nathan Millsap, a Portland videographer, the audio is clearer.

A man, who Mr. Pappas later contends is the gunman, shouts: “Hey, we got some right here. We got a couple right here.”

Another man says, “He’s macing you, he’s pulling it out.”

The sound of spraying is audible, followed immediately by two gunshots.

Mr. Dunlap captures the shooting on his livestream. Mr. Danielson can be seen raising his arm and beginning to spray a pepper spray-like substance, followed almost immediately by the gunshots. The man in white backs away with his arm raised and then runs, along with the man dressed in black.

The two groups of two men were about 15 feet apart. There is a puff of smoke that comes from one of the men (the guy who was killed). And almost immediately two gunshots.

There is quite a bit more in terms of video of the taunting and so forth (including shooting paintball guns and pepper spray from the caravan trucks) that preceded the shooting throughout the evening, and the killer is visible in several places with his hand inside a vest pocket. Let's just say they were all spoiling for a fight. But to shoot someone like that is just hard to fathom. Cold-blooded murder.

Some of you may recall a case in Louisiana a few years ago where a Japanese foreign student went to the wrong house and was met by the homeowner at the door to the house. The homeowner shot him in the doorway killing him even though the student had done absolutely nothing. The homeowner claimed a camera one of the boys was holding looked like a gun. The home owner claimed self defense and was acquitted to cheers in the court room.

I think we have become a little too permissive in our interpretation of what represents reasonable self defense.

I was hoping for much better than this.

This does not show what you wished it does

Could be you are averting your gaze. Has been known to happen.

You need to stop it second by second. But it is exactly as described by the article.

There is also this version of the video which has more of the aftermath of the shooting, where people going in to help are coughing and asking for something for their eyes due to the chemical irritants that were discharged.

As I said though, the victim discharging pepper spray or bear spray does not exonerate the shooter in any way. His actions were so disproportionate and cold-blooded that I don't think they should be regarded as self-defense. He had his hand on a loaded gun that entire evening. Was looking for a chance to use it.

I love that freedom boy

Claims to not follow any trump news and is why he doesn’t hear about a lot of stuff with him

But is laughing over a stupid nickname 12 minutes after trump tweets it out for the very first time.

Must be a weird coincidence lol
