How are Comp picks determined?

If a team that loses a qualifying free agent is a revenue-sharing recipient, and the lost player signs for at least $50 million, the team is awarded a compensatory pick between the first round and Competitive Balance Round A. If the player signs for less than $50 million, the compensation pick for the team comes after Competitive Balance Round B.

Guessing it's going to be pretty tough to sign Bubba and Will Taylor away from their Clemson commitments at this point - doesn't really look like anyone took a player they're going to save enough money on to give them what they're looking for.

Maybe the Pirates pop one of them, but they might be better off trying to spread that money out trying to get more players to sign to them in later rounds.

It's actually the same guy, this is the new Moneyball.

Billy Beane invested in cloning years ago and this is the result. As long as this Max takes the first pitch, all will be well.

Agree on Chandler and Taylor. I don't think anyone saved enough in the first round to hit their bonus demands from here on out unless a team wants to punt the rest of their draft.
