2021 MLB Draft

Unfortunately Heyman is the guy that everyone around here loves to throw rocks at.

I hope the info is right, but it hasn't been reported anywhere else - would just be nice to see someone else report it other than a 24 year old college kid and Heyman since he spends 2 hours a day with his nose buried in Brian Kenney's *ss, Kinda tough to pick up "breaking news" that way.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say Heyman isn’t dipping his toes into the water of 11th round picks signing unless he has a good reason.

Just pointing out the presiding sentiment around these parts - go back and read through the offseason thread and see how many posters called Heyman "useless" and that didn't believe anything he breaks,

Man you get weird and crotchety about the silliest things

A third confirmation:

11th-rder Adam Shoemaker signs w/@Braves on $480k ($355k counts vs pool). Canada HS LHP, very projectable at 6-ft-6, already flashes mid-90s fastball. St. John's recruit. @MLBDraft

clvclv’s going to wait until he takes the mound at Truist in 2026 before believing it.

For what it's worth, Anglin's Twitter page now lists the Atlanta Braves Organization as his employer/

Heard an interview with Jim Callis and he said he doesn't expect us to sign Anglin.

I don't know how much is left to go over $125,000, but as I wrote above, this is kind of a Josh Anthony situation where the Braves can't quite meet his price. Only problem for Anglin is I don't think he can be drafted again in next year's draft if he goes to a 4-year school and he's a Texas Tech commit. Good luck to him whatever his decision.

Have to figure AA's guys knew it was going to take that much when they made their first two picks.

Agree. Chandler's demands would have blown up our whole draft. Chandler's getting about 80% of what the Braves' first and second rounders received in terms of bonus money.

Callis: 16th-rder Kris Anglin signs w/@Braves for $125k. Howard (Texas) JC LHP, 103 K in 66.2 IP, Texas Tech recruit. @MLBDraft
