2022 MLB Draft Thread

I mean except for the fact that Strider sits in the upper 90s and Murphy sits in the lower 90s... awful comparison. This is disappointment, no other way to spin it. Better be something big coming at 35 and he better be major underslot.

Strider's best at Perfect Game events pre-college was 96, Murphy's is 94. I'm not saying this is a great pick, but Murphy's stats as a senior were pretty impressive.

He's a prep pitcher. Gotta wonder how much underslot he'd go.

Multiple people have said on Twitter and Kiley McDaniel on ESPN just now that he wasn’t expected to go within 10-15 picks of ours. Would be really disappointed if it wasn’t underslot.

And I don’t hate the pick at all looking at what some pitch data people are saying on Twitter.

We've had some wretched picks the last 5 years or so.

Every team has. MLB draft isnt like NBA/NFL. You can find top tier talent in the later rounds. But i would have gone elsewhere, but it's gotta be a heavy underslot signing.
