It was a solid move, but mot as impactful in LF as I hoped. In a world where SD adds Soto, adding Grossman is extremely underwhelming.

I realize there's a line AA doesn't want to cross, but I was hoping that line was little further out there.

Only one team was adding Soto.. we never had the ammo to do it. What else is really out there that is better at the prices being paid.

Maybe a Soler reunion, but he has been underwhelming.. although, I am always for a Soler reunion. Was Miami even selling?

He’s hit almost his entire career though. Maybe he’s toast now at 36, but he still walks a lot which fits the Mets mold of hitter.

.390 wOBA last two years (only 400 PAs, but still), and he’s hit lefties well this year. Maybe he’s trash now, but they didn’t really give up anything.
