How do Dems defend their vote for a Harris if they don’t even know what she’s about ?
How do you know she is bad if you don't know what she is about. People know. You are just playing games.

This is one of those results where I’m not going to overly read into the leads Harris is holding, but does make me wonder how some are so confident that Harris and Walz are costing Democrats the election and Trump is cruising to victory.
Yeah. The results don't mean much right now. She is receiving a double bounce. One from the DNC convention. The second from RFK Jr's endorsement of Trump. The polls will not be meaningful until after Labor Day.
You’re quite right. I just fail to see how in a basically unprecedented situation that the freshly-minted poll scientists on Twitter can look at these results and be so bold in their beliefs that their talking points on Harris and Walz are sticking.
So how do we think her ascendancy went down behind the scenes? And how much of the new Dem platform and presentation of itself is her and how much of it is the "liberal" Queenmaker Nancy Pelosi, who we have been told for years by the right is stupid and ineffectual?
Here's one possible plotline:
Whisperings about Biden among staff and others started long before the debate debacle. It was widely reported in media, too.
The debate happened and it was clear to all Biden was over the hill and 4 more years was too much to expect.
Friends and Dems in high places tried to get him to consider dropping out. He wasn't having it.
Finally, Nancy (with Obama?) gave him an ultimatum - either quit or have all support pulled out from under him.
An angry and spiteful Biden gave the party a final jab on his way down - "If I go at least you take my VP instead."
Nancy, Obama and party elites wanted a quick caucus of some sort. Joe said FU to that and threw his support behind a Harris nomination.
Kamala Harris leaned into Joe, let him smell her hair, and said "Don't worry Joe. I got this."
In short order Nancy, others and now Wall St. and the world have realized that Joe might get the last laugh.
Is this how it happened??? Pretty compelling story no matter where you sit.
Does anyone believe if Biden announced in 2022, and the sems ran an actual primary, that Kamala would have won the nomination?
Probably not. It sucks a little but securing the nomination and winning the general election are different. MAGA Man has a lock on the Rep nomination but can't win the general. Bernie can't win the nomination but could probably win the election. Same with Rand Paul. And now Harris? If she wins it will make a lot of people do some rethinking.

The part that somewhat piques my interest is the 30 minutes between his announcement he was dropping out and when he tweeted out his support for Harris.
You and I both agree that the democratic establishment removed the will of the people in the process to select the nominee
Shameful
