2024 Field

[tw]1831737016423239680[/tw]

A very simple concept that evens the playing field against countries that leverage slave labor or currency manipulation. And for those that manipulate their currency if they try to push further it will gut their own peoples wealth overnight (non asset holders) that it causes instability and risks their own power.

I can’t wait till the economy takes off - tax revenues explodes (with tax cuts) - budgets are closer to being balanced - less reliance on welfare programs. The conventional wisdom heads will explode.

Meanwhile Kommela needs to bus people into her NH rally.

It’s going to be a blowout.

Trump incoherent again. Wasn’t he saying a couple of days ago that tariffs are paid by foreigners? I thought other countries paid the tax? Now he’s acknowledging if you’re an American company that imports, you, the American company, pay the tax?

The Tariff is meant to discourage outsourcing of any type. Again - It punishes the foreign country because the price advantage isn't there. That leads to foreign suppliers slashing costs or less sales which results in less tax revenue for that country. Ergo - Tax paid by the foreign country.

I know this is challenging.

When you look at what has happened to our manufacturing base here in the States I'm not sure how anybody can't be somewhat skeptical of absolute free trade.

No, I'm not a socialist. I'm being pragmatic.

"Free Trade" isn't free trade.

If it was then it would be a great idea.

Something the textbook people fail to grasp.

That’s ludicrous. An American company paying higher prices for an import (or higher prices for a domestic substitute) don’t sit on an investor relations call telling Wall St “actually guys, I know it looks like our costs increased, but actually Vietnam’s tax revenue declined, so when you think about it, they really paid the tariff, not us.”

No - What happens is that domestic producers are able to compete which results in a healthier American economy and not just the shareholder base which is obviously all you care about.

Then with a wealthier America (that is spread out more evenly) consumption will increase to compensate.

Its striking just how selfish your worldview truly is...

But the American company can choose to buy domestic goods and have a lower tax rate making cash flow net neutral or even positive.

You literally proved I was right when you shared the Chen screenshot and you still aren’t aware.

But tell me again how you can model data with an LLM when you don’t even know basic data data analysis functions. I would have thought you needed to know how to use programs to sell them. I guess not?

Just pointing out once again that thethe chose once again to not explain how little ol naive sturg33 got duped by Russian propaganda regarding trumps abortion stance.

Seems to me he can't do it

He knows what he believes but no idea why he believes it.

Moving on

Are you going to explain how I was gaslit into untrue propaganda or not?

Why was Chen paying Tim Pool millions if her goal was to hurt Trunp, by the way?

It’s striking to me how egotistic your worldview is. You, Trump, Peter Navarro, and the rest of the MAGA crew have a simplistic view of the world economy. Millions of people making trillions of individual decisions, and your crew thinks you can intervene with surgical precision that results in increased domestic welfare. You can’t. We don’t just have “textbook” models to prove this, we have many decades worth of real world data to prove it. You guys ignore that data because you’ve gone goal seeking a made up economic philosophy designed to appeal to a set of voters you want in your tent. Which is fine; this is what politics looks like. But you’re not going to convince me this is smart economics.

That admin, sponsored and applauded by Russia was a public relations s#tshow for America's standing in the world and ultimately emboldened Putin to attack Ukraine. The Covid response and his lies were chaotic. The 2 impeachments and Jan. 6 will be stains on his term forever. His inability to pass any meaningful legislation doesn't help. Still waiting on that greatest ever healthcare plan. The Wall was a scam for Steve Bannon. He colluded and sucked up to Putin and any despot who would give him attention. He was incompetent and fired people every other day.

Biden was too old but still passed great infrastructure legislation even with great opposition from both the GOP and MAGA. If he were 10 years younger he'd be on his way to being re-elected right now, without being impeached. So yeah, Oraguman was worse.

Wait why did Putin wait for his friend and ally Trump to leave office before invading Ukraine?

Your naivety rules the day thinking what we have is free trade. It is your base assumption that has led to the degradation of the country but you don't see it becuase you're part of the laptop class.

Again - everyone knows what the country was looking like in late 2019 and that was with the 'MAGA' trade policies.

This trend is going on years and years and the country has gotten richer and richer by any metric. What am I supposed to be skeptical about?
