I don't know the details of Chens plan of paying Pool. It coudl very well have been a setup to discount his overall viewpoints. It could have been a long term play to get more access and push her divisiveness.
One thing is very clear. Chen sought to divide the Republicans to peel away support from Trump. To deny that is to deny reality.

We've gotten richer in many areas but when you look at the fact that we're looking at hostile nations like China to be our supplier for many important items like antibiotics this is also not a good thing.
We also rely on other nations for weapons systems and stuff like that. That's a direct danger to our national security.
Before I get accused of being in the MAGA cult you may criticize Trump's economic ideas but there's no doubt that America had it's greatest median income in over a century during Trump's term. That's 100% fact.
