Don't underestimate the impact Trump is having on the younger generation.

Completely uprooting norms that young people start as Demcorats.

It's not surprising to me that a hardcore socialist is winning over the minds of young socialists. He's promising the same stuff Bernie Sanders promises

Price controls already exist and are in fact constitutional. There are literally price gouging laws in every single state.

None of that refutes what I said in my post …so I’m glad you agree that yes, this is a price control. Which is why I’m confused by Garmel’s comment that I was responding to.

For a permanent rate? Yes, I would as Trump has stated this would be temporary.

So you are okay with temporary interest caps, but not permanent interest caps?

What would Trump/Harris need to do to ensure you that it would only be temporary?

The interest charged by the company is the price of the product. There’s no material difference between telling a bank you can charge a maximum of “x” price for your loan and telling a grocer you can charge a maximum of “x” price for a dozen eggs.

The price is also affected by the amount of the loan.

If it's the same why does one damage the economy and one doesn't?

I'm okay with a temporary at 10%, permanent at around 25%. Perhaps 20%

Perhaps in writing. Need further info from Trump as this is all talk right now.

There are a lot of things that determine the price …but ultimately the price is the price. And the government saying the maximum price you can charge is “x,” is definitionally a price control.

I don’t see how that particular fact is at all debatable.

Whether you think it’s a good or bad price control is another discussion…but it IS a price control!

Got it. So you are okay with a permanent price determined by Donald Trump or Kamala Harris.
