2024 Field

I ask again what he did specifically to end it?

It was overturned during the Biden presidency

You do realize there is a process to this right? The Supreme Court doesn't just reverse decisions on a whim. States passed new abortion laws that challenged the rulings of Roe v Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

Do you think a POTUS has no influence on this type of issue?

Yes I do.

I am asking yet again what Trump specifically did to overturn Roe?

Kamala picking a fight with RDS was an unimaginable unforced strategic error.

He is now eviscerating while managing the crisis and exposing her for the clown she is.

The Don should send him a thank you card

I have already specifically answered that. He appointed specific Judges. But he still ran on the campaign promise to overturn it and maintained a firm stance on it. A large part of in getting this done was supporting and strengthening the movement. Meanwhile, that I can find, only Ben Carson stated he would overturn Roe v Wade if elected.

Again, if you believed any other Republican would have done the same, then why didn't they platform for it? Either they were to chicken **** to actually take a stance on it, or their actual views on abortion were a ploy to get them elected. Either way, it certainly doesn't support your claim that "any Republican would have done the same."

And it seems like Sen. John McCain of Arizona may have had enough. During an interview with Fox News Sunday Sen. McCain urged his party to stop making abortion an issue.

“I can state my position on abortion. But other than that, leave the issue alone,” said Sen. McCain. “I would allow people to have those opinions and respect those opinions. I’m proud of my pro-life position and record, but if someone disagrees with me, I respect your views.”

Wow was it.

What a moronic move

That 60 m interview is the nail in the coffin.

There’s no one on be fence that compelled a vote, quite the opposite. It was brutal

He ran on it?

Who cares? He ran on building a wall. He ran on cutting spending. He ran on getting rid of the debt. He ran on everything

I care about what he did. He appointed 3 justices that was handed to him on a list created that any republican would have done. And I reiterate that Trump's choosing of those 3 were underwhelming.

Mitch McConnel did work to give us Gorsouch. RBG dying a couple months before he left office was good fortune to get a 3rd justice.

Trump gets credit for beating HRC. He then did his job by appointing 3 justices.

Beyonbd that, all he does is try to kneecap pro life legislation at every turn

So why didn't the other candidates run on that platform if it was so easy to accomplish? If they actually wanted to do it?

You are the one saying he didn't do anything any other candidate would do. I am telling you to prove it, because what the candidates actually said doesn't reflect that stance at all.

No. YOU are the one saying Trump is primarily responsible for its overturn. That's only true in the sense that he was president when 3 justices left the court.

Running on "overturning roe" is stupid, because it's not something a president has the authority to do. Only the court could have. It's not like Trump fired 3 justices to replace them with more constituonal judges.

Other candidates have indeed ran on making laws through the legislature to outlaw abortion. Rand Paul for example is one of them from 2016

Running a campaign promise to "overturn roe" is nonsensical and also not surprising that Trump pushed it. If you have evidence that he did anything during his presidency to end roe, please show me. Similarly, I won't give him credit for building the wall and wiping out our debt because "he ran on it"

Otherwise, we can look at the recent evidence of him blasting any state that has actually moved to stop abortions.

Trump clearly and deliberately sparked momentum in overturning Roe v Wade. He appointed the Justices to do it as well and supported and strengthened to movement to overturn it. Those are 2 facts that cannot be denied. He did more for the pro-life movement than any POTUS in the last 50 years. It's a simple fact. Other politicians have had no interest in actually touching it, because it costs them votes.

I'll take this as "I cannot post any evidence that he actually did anything in overturning Roe"

Didn't need to take this long.

I'm sorry you have trouble reading.

Please provide the evidence that this would have happened under any other top Republican POTUS candidate from 2016.

I am glad Trump did that!

Which makes his recent betrayal even more infuriating. He clearly has no principles

But attending a march for life rally has nothing to do with overturning Roe, which Trump had nothing to do with, outside of his being president when 3 justices left the court

BETRAYAL!

Again, your stance is that a POTUS has no influence whatsoever in how the Supreme Court might rule? That a POTUS has no influence whatsoever in the pro-life movement? These are your stances?
