I will wait to see what exactly this classified stuff is. Trumps love letters with dictators was classified but I don't give two shots if that's only what Trump had. They could have classified Pences hand written notes and he had rhat laying around. But like I have said before, for it to be a crime it requires intent. And unless he goes around screaming about how they are his and he intentionally kept them that's going to be hard to prove.

That is why the charges were not that the documents were classified but that they had classified markings. Important distinction to anyone who is actually paying attention.

Hold up, where's the formal declassificatiom order? I will forward it to the media whose FOIA requests for the documents get denied because the documents are still classified.

There might be multiple laws that apply but no high level government official is being prosecuted for having classified documents laying around unless there clear intent to retain the documents.

Wut? If that was the case Trumps lawyers would be pointing out that the documents he had were crossfire hurricane related and thus declassified. And the media's FOIA requests for the documents wouldn't be denied.
