I don't put much stock into VP picks overall, as voters generally vote for the name at the top of the ticket. But the Dems made a HUGE mistake if they indeed passed on Shapiro for VP. Solid chance the Dems pull PA with him on the ticket. And he would likely have the ticket viewed more favorably in MI and WI as well.

Agreed…total unforced error. Why have him there? He needs to sew up the Latino and black male voters that he’s made inroads with and suburban women. The Joe Rogan bro vote is well in hand at this point. Not really the time or place for insult comedy.

Latest 538 polling averages show Kamala leads in only 1 swing state currently, which is slim MI lead of .5. Trump has at least .3 lead in all other swing states aside from WI which has no current leader.

On RCP, Trump has the average polling lead in every swing state, as well a .1 lead nationally.

And the latest VA polling suggest VA could be in play as well, with 2 different polls showing a Harris lead of +2 or less. This after WAPO polling earlier in the month showed a sharp decline in Harris support.
