2024 Field

I still don't believe Trump will be the Republican nominee, and I'm certain he won't be the next president. I posted that article because it underlines that the sentiment he was able to identify and tap into is still there, and still either underestimated or ignored by the coasts and upper class.

The most interesting part of the article is the reminder that there is a Jersey Shore, PA. The first time I drove by it on the highway I became very confused by the sign. And yes it is in a very trumpy part of PA and nowhere near the Jersey shore.

He’ll one hundred percent be the nominee if he runs. Whose gonna beat him?

In 2013 no one would have believed Trump would be the nominee in 2016. 2024 is still a long way away and Trump is already on the campaign trail. If he hasn't peaked already I suspect he will before the primaries, and that everyone who would prefer a different candidate will be voting in those primaries.

Heck he'll probably get tired of it. 9 years is a long time to campaign.

There will also probably be some of the same motivation that the Democrats had when they nominated Biden. The guy in office is unpopular and has pushed too far, so just don't screw it up by nominating someone that people will vote against, and the election should be an easy win.

2020 was an easy win.

Please stop letting that get in the way of what will be an absolute romp of trump runs in 24. We will have one of the e largest supermajorities recorded and it won’t be chamber of commerce Paul Ryan types either.

We are about to see a political reckoning.

Does he want to run with his wife battling cancer?

I have my doubts and Florida is quickly becoming the most important state in the country. Being it’s governor is a prestigious position.

No idea. He's the one that could take out trump though imo

Its early. Hell, it probably won't be Biden (and thats a good thing for Dems) that the GOP has to face off against.

I think there is a chance that all the Trump likes bow out to Trump... but there will still be a Kasich type that could consolidate the anti-trump vote to win the primary... I don't think Trump ever won more than ~35% of the vote in 2016 primaries

Low propensity voters dont' come out for generic R candidates.

This point should not be dismissed.

Sure he will still run... politicians care way more about their careers than their families

Every election since 2020 has basically been a big Republican victory.

Where have you been? Trump doesn't lose elections. There is only Trump victory or he was defrauded. There is no chance Trump loses in the primary and bows out. He would **** all over whoever wins because hff is entire goal at that point would be for that candidate to lose so he can claim Trump would have won. Worst case scenario he runs third party ensuring a Biden second term.

Saving this one for future refrence.
