I think the mask stuff and the social distancing may have helped early on but I never got the outside make rules except maybe in some stadium with 10s of thousands of people in close proximity. These days it seems like if a person has had the shot(s) they shouldn't have to wear those unless they want to. Personally I also think the rabid pro-mask and the rabid anti-mask people tend to have at least one thing in common, (the rabid part).

Thankfully there are absolutely no similar examples from history for us to refer back to.

Trump won in a landslide in 2020. What we have seen since is just a continuation.
