Thats how politics works. You put forward the candidate with the best chance to win. Name recognition is unfortunately one of the biggest factors in politics.

It is whining. The right has been just begging for Democrats to run anyone else because they know that would help their chances to win. They throw out all kinds of ridiculous speculation that has no basis in reality and is 100% projection for what they want Democrats to do. There has been a primary on the Democrat side with various candidates, dont pretend there hasnt. No none of them were taken seriously because none of them had a chance in hell of winning. Biden even won a primary in a state he wasnt even on the ballot.

This is the only reason Biden is being 'weekend at bernies' to the finishing line.

If they replace him not only does Trump win in a Reagenesque landslide but the down ballot will perform even better since too many morons still think Biden is some sort of moderate.

I agree (D) is keeping Biden on the ballot because he gives them the best chance to win. If that's the rationale they want to use, they're well within their rights to do so. But they can't have their cake and eat it too, which is the point Silver is making, which I agree with.

Nate Silver is being disingenuous because running the candidate with the best chance to win is exactly what you do if you believe Trump is an existential threat to the country. And the age issue is really negated by Republicans also running a candidate old as dirt with serious concerns about his cognitive mental ability.

He is a threat to democracy because he has and will again seek out a way to subvert the election if he loses. Its kind of overblown because Trump winning isnt a threat to Democracy, in that case he loves Democracy. Only if he loses and Democrats winning doesnt change that. Trump is going to try to do what he tried to do last time but was not prepared enough for which is using his influence over Republican state legislators to prevent certification of their vote if Biden wins their state hoping to prevent him from getting to 270 electoral votes in which it would go to the House of Representatives where Republicans hold a voting advantage. That is subverting Democracy and Trump is a real threat to do it. Its either win or go to prison. There is no scenario where he loses and just accepts defeat.

Don't know how accurate this polling outfit is but the people of this country are absolutely sick of the Post war Liberal New World Order.

I believe as we move forward the down ballots will perform better as well as Trump makes the case we need sweeping majorities to fix the mess we are in currently.

Sure, it was just a coincidence that it would have benefitted himself immensely. There are legal avenues to take if he thought there was election fraud. He lost all the court cases. His own law enforcement people told him his claims were BS. His own studies he commissioned told him his claims were BS. If you have evidence it doesnt take coercion to get people who voted for him and supported him to do something about it. Your statement requires that so many people who voted for and supported him were in some giant conspiracy against him. I can only imagine the amount of mocking and ridicule you people would spew out if the left made claims like that. Your election fraud BS is the Russian collusion **** on steroids.
