But I was told without immunity he would be immediately indicted after leaving office.
Find a partisan state and judge (Texas maybe) and he would be.

So Florida is a partisan state against Republicans and Judge Cannon is partisan against Trump?
When's the last time a sitting President had a serious primary challenge. If you are whining about a sitting President not having sla serious primary challenge you aren't a serious person.

Democratic operatives and consultants have chipped in with advice: Spend a whole lot more time working on his makeup and lighting, they tell Biden aides, or finally accept that the arthritis explanations aren’t working and start having him do more events where he starts out seated instead of being photographed shuffling to a podium.

No one's whining, dude. Just pointing out the obvious.
It is whining. The right has been just begging for Democrats to run anyone else because they know that would help their chances to win. They throw out all kinds of ridiculous speculation that has no basis in reality and is 100% projection for what they want Democrats to do. There has been a primary on the Democrat side with various candidates, dont pretend there hasnt. No none of them were taken seriously because none of them had a chance in hell of winning. Biden even won a primary in a state he wasnt even on the ballot.

I agree (D) is keeping Biden on the ballot because he gives them the best chance to win. If that's the rationale they want to use, they're well within their rights to do so. But they can't have their cake and eat it too, which is the point Silver is making, which I agree with.
Its because they don't actually believe Trump is going to destroy our country. Its just fodder for their idiotic voters.

I agree (that they don't actually believe Trump is an existential threat to democracy). Maybe some do, but not those running the party.
He is a threat to democracy because he has and will again seek out a way to subvert the election if he loses. Its kind of overblown because Trump winning isnt a threat to Democracy, in that case he loves Democracy. Only if he loses and Democrats winning doesnt change that. Trump is going to try to do what he tried to do last time but was not prepared enough for which is using his influence over Republican state legislators to prevent certification of their vote if Biden wins their state hoping to prevent him from getting to 270 electoral votes in which it would go to the House of Representatives where Republicans hold a voting advantage. That is subverting Democracy and Trump is a real threat to do it. Its either win or go to prison. There is no scenario where he loses and just accepts defeat.
