Telling me a Republican winning a state by 5-10 points is quite the shocker when the last republican who ran won by 8 points.

This is easy - Because it was an established fact that mask wearing for kids was more damaging than COVID. That was established by most people in the middle of 2020. Shame that RDS was so slow to act in Florida.

TO answer your question - There was incredible pressure from parents since the middle of 2020 and Trump was part of that charge consistently stating that kids shouldn't be wearing masks.
