2024 Field

I’d forgotten until I started following him on Twitter recently since it’s election season… I think ABC bought 538 from the Times(?) while he was still there, then he was let go in the ABC/Disney layoffs last year

Apparently he took the forecasting model with him since he owns the rights, and the guy now running fivethirtyeight now developed his own thing.

Man - Democrats are going to be damaged for a long time. The jig is up.

It is now socially acceptable to support Trump. Will have cascading effects for the remainder of the election season.

Still think you’re reading far too much into the long-term effects of Joe Biden being washed up. Things have gotten far more polarized in the past 10 or so years, but there has not been a major shift to the right nationally.

Your party is going to have a civil war when Biden is gone as the power moves more towards hte more radical wing of the party.

Trumps 'Big Tent' is based on this concept as its already drawing disaffected moderate Independents/Dems.

I’ll give Republicans credit, they did a great job this past month of capitalizing on Biden’s implosion. But we’re only a few months removed from some of these “big tent” people essentially calling Trump a criminal lunatic. The Dems have been good at precisely one thing the past decade, and that’s rallying around their coalition when push comes to shove. The Republicans are ahead right now on that front, but don’t let recency bias distract you from your party’s internal power struggles.

Every lie that is undone (The whole party saying Biden was fine for hte last 3.5 years) the more damage is done to this idea they can rally. D's ****ed up big time. This is a national embarrassment unlike we have seen well since the Afghanistan withdrawal but you know what I'm saying.

What happens if 50K Palestian protestors show up to the DNC?

Shapiro is only shot hte Dems have of not being embarrassed and no way the D's can put a Jew on the ballot now.

Maybe not. But I would argue that there has indeed been a major shift left by a large percentage of Democrats. And that shift left naturally forces everyone else on the spectrum to the right, despite not having changed any of their core political beliefs. That's why you have people like Elon and Tulsi being considered as right wing now, despite being lauded by the left a mere 4 years ago. I mean Tulsi was running for the Dem POTUS nomination in 2020 for goodness sakes.

Are Democrat voters going to hold their party accountable for lying to their face for 3.5 years or just pull the lever for whoever next they put in front of your faces?

My guess is 90-95% will line up. Still happy to steal that 5%.

For reference, I was vocally against both Trump and Biden in 2020, but moreso against Trump. I was likely going to vote vote for Tulsi had she won the primary, which would have been the first time I have ever voted for a Democrat on a major ticket, other than Phil Bredesen as governor for TN. I feel like I am firmly a right leaning centrist/moderate Republican. Yet by every metric I would be considered solidly right wing in today's political spectrum.

Wonder when people will stop thinking that the globalists tried to kill Trump is a wild conspiracy.

Only by Gods plan did he make it out alive.

What an amazing moment. Makes you remember back to a time where America felt like it 'worked'.

The whole Democrat party has been lying about who is running the country.

Tell me all of this doesn't smell like an all out war within the Democrat party. And we all just expect them to coalesce months before an election against a candidate that just avoided an assassination attempt?

OK
