First mission is to defeat the Marxist scum that controls the west. Then we can go back to more traditional policy difference. Most important thing right now is to save the western world. Trump has been ahead of the curve on that from the beginning.

He’s fine with it - it would be better for his side if RFK went away.

Doesn’t really track consistent

Cares more about a life 10,000 miles away than one next door, and favors social welfare in abundance over personal responsibility and individual income freedom. So why care now about a thousand bucks a day for protection for someone’s life ? Lol

Nope, I wish RFK all the health and prosperity he can possibly have and respect his right to campaign for Trump. Hell, I’d even full-throatedly support taking any resources being removed from RFK directly to protecting Trump and his campaign. But if RFK is going to pretend to run for President for the next two months, he can fund that without the explicit support of the American taxpayer.

Joe should give it to him based on NOT doing so for the last 15 months

It’s actually kind of wild that the group most closely aligned with taxation is theft is comfortable with this. Which of your wages do you want to go directly to saying “my bad” to RFK Jr. for not giving him a security detail previously? I’d rather feed a hungry child than give it to a Kennedy personally.

I wouldn’t have gone on a hunger strike or anything over continuing his detail, but the key difference is I don’t support giving public money to people who don’t need it. If Kennedy wants to continue to stump for Donald Trump, he has plenty of ways to obtain the resources he needs to do that safely. It’s not the end of the world if we do it anyway, but the amount of people in this country for whom that amount of money would fundamentally change their lives is astounding.

This is exactly the reason I support social welfare systems for AMERICANS.

I’ll always have money. I just want a stable country.

It is worth noting that Cohn’s main point is that the current model makes sense to him, but that the 538 team is neglecting its editorial duties. I’ve seen a lot of outright rejection of 538’s new model that both use Cohn’s criticisms and ignores his underlying agreement with the plausibility of the model.

I do agree with the sentiment that 538 without Silver has no more reason to be determined credible than any other organization out there without their current history of prestige. There’s really no good way to prove how much of what Silver built was his own vs. the overall team and I’d definitely be skeptical of both claiming they’re right during this election cycle in particular.

If Billionaires want to do socialism themselves I’m obviously on board, but the totality of human history really hasn’t provided a great optimism in me for this happening.

I believe it’s well understand by the wealthy that without a proper safety net their wealth is worth nothing.

Do you think the social welfare systems currently in place in the US are enough, or insufficient?

More than enough. Just have to boot those that aren’t American killing it as well as figure out ways to identify and stop fraud.

I’ve never asked for more than what we have so it’s odd you’d ask me the question.

You know how else to ensure the safety nets are sustained? Brian drain the world and ratchet up productivity so that tax pools are larger. All the while we deport the parasites that are net takers and force other low skilled AMERICANS to require the safety net.

This isn’t difficult.

Where can we cut, and how much?

Where can we cut, and how much?

Well first I need to evaluate the true base and required annual benefits. The equations now look bleak because we have tens of millions of low skilled illegals draining the system or forcing others to use the system.
