MI and NV are worth 16 EVs combined. I'm not sure what you are looking at. The only real path for Harris to win was to pull the entire rust belt swing states of MI, PA, and WI, which is 44 EVs.

These things dont work like they used to. There arent 3 major news media companies anymore. No one is forced to watch news they dont want anymore to get news. People seek out the news that tells them what they want to hear. So the left wing media can scream it from the rooftops it doesnt matter because the only people watching are Democrats who like corporate media. Theres independent media out there for every crazy person out there. Do you think Vampires are real. I bet theres an independent news channel out there that covers the Vampire conspiracy as well as the rest of current news. Do you think Aliens from Mars anally proved you? Well I bet theres a independent news channel that will tell you how that was all real and its government conspiracy coverup that also covers other current news.
 
Biden was obviously in decline, and Harris checked the DEI boxes for the DEI party. The conspiracy theorist in me has thoughts about the way Biden was removed so late that she was the only possible option. After her disaster of a 2020 primary, I’m not sure anyone would have expected her to beat the field for the 2024 nomination.

2028 will be interesting. If the Dems nominate someone like Shapiro or Beshear they’re likely to win, although Vance is a lot smarter than the typical Pub and is willing to get in the mud. Hopefully they stay on the identity politics and socialism track instead. 12 straight years of MAGA might be enough to make some meaningful corrections.
 
Its a long way away but things look bad for the Democrats in 2028 to me. Theres also the issue of what happens if Trump loses this time. I know he cant run again but whoever gets the nomination will be beholden to him. I honestly dont know if our institutions are strong enough to stop the steal again now that all the people with a shred of integrity have been purged. The only thing thats guaranteed is Trump will claim fraud if Republicans lose.

The Republicans will have one big issue of needing to break away from some of Trump’s flagship policies that they know don’t work without drawing the ire of Trump, while simultaneously needing to be cautious of Trump suddenly doing a complete 180 on those policies and attacking that person for them. Having a standard bearer whose only consistent political objective is being adored could get really messy once he needs to take a backseat.
 
Vance is an insider. He knows Trump is batshit crazy. Like many Republicans he made a business decision and decided his career was better off cucking to Trump. As long as Trumps succesor is someone like Vance I expect the crazy shit to go away. If its one of the crazy people like MTG then it might continue.
 
In what world does MTG play to the nation enough to win an election ?

The Dems gotta find some donors and free employees between now and 2028 first
 
Calling Vance an insider after less than a term as a Senator is interesting. I would also point out that Vance became a household name because after Trump’s win in 2016 showed just how out of touch they are, political media all rushed to buy the book about growing up hillbilly written by a Yale grad before that election.

It will be a different time with a different population that has now been primed to understand the solutions needed for the future. Additionally, the public’s trust in media is at an all time low. It matters.

Trump was exactly what we needed when we needed it. He wil make subsequent leaderships jobs infinitely easier.
