2024 Field

Do you have a specific example of an RDS criticism of Trump that left out important context that voters saw through?

From my perspective, if he fails to win, it will be for two reasons:

1. The cult is much stronger than I had ever anticipated - and this is playing out in front of my eyes

2. He was too scared to hit Trump consistently from the start, because he was worried about offending the cult. He was probably right about that, as we have seen... as the cult now despises the man for even the slightest criticism of their god. But what's clear now is the cult cannot be reached, and it's time to appeal to the rest of the people. But it's quite possible the cult is now the majority of the party, which is a shame

Any specific example? How about all of them? How about the talks revolving COVID? Spending? The Wall? All of those things have significant context that the voters understand becasue they lived through those times. YOu may not agree and thats fine but saying "RAH TRUMP BAD TRUMP WRONG" obviously didn't work because it was wrong and deceitful.

Just remember - 'Cult' has a one time usage. It can't be applied to when we throw our full support behind Vance/Gaetz/Lake. One day you'll see its the policy set and not the person.

Also - Would it be fair to say then this is the largest cult in human history?

But is it fair to summarize your position is that "RDS ran a disastrous campaign because he criticized Trump without proper context"?

Criticizing the most popular and effective president of our lifetimes in a deceitful manner was definitely the root cause of his campaign failure.

It didn't help to criticize the voter base as well through your disgusting influencer army as well.

But it doesn't bother when you when Trump criticizes DeSantis by saying New York handled Covid better?

Do you think Trump's criticisms of DeSantis has had the proper amount of context applied?

I think cult is appropriate because RDS is basically MAGA on steroids. And has actually executed the policies in real life, rather than just talk about it.

And y'all despise him

Did I ever say I supported what Trump said or agree with everything he does?

But there is a good bit of context to the 'success' of RDS as a Gov that I've explained before and was yet another thing you didn't want to hear.

Thats because you think culture wars are the only thing that matters to us. Its always been about economics/immigration.

RDS just happened to throw a bunch of red meat out there right before he was going to announce.

I'll let you decide if that was a conincidence or not.

He was in fact so popular and effective that he lost re-election and several midterms for the GOP.

you see what bothers me you say "criticizing trump without proper context is a disastrous campaign"

and crickets when Trump does it x1,000

regarding the context for Florida's success... I agree, remembering that he faced relentless pressure from the Trump/Fauci administration to keep everything closed, and refused... makes it that much more impressive. Thank you for the added context

Only problem is that RDS was lock step with Trump/Fauchi early on and you continue to compare RDS 2021 versus Trump of mid 2020.

But continue to discount hte fact that Florida was always ruby red in the state legislature and has been an a thirty year upward trend of population/economic growth.

ITS ALL RDS!

this is another thing I don't get

the dude keeps executing on policies you love, and you always dismiss them as unimportant because he has a good legislature or whatever. why does that matter? getting it done should be celebrated but you downgrade it because it compares favorably to Trump

this is why it's a cult and not policy. on policy, RDS is better than Trump across the board and you guys despise him

haha hopeless.

RDS was in lockstep with Trump and Fauci... until he wasn't.

In October of 2023, Trump is in lockstep with Trump and Fauci.

but the point of this exercise was simply to show you the "criticism without context" critique is nonsense... you don't care.

Another thing you miss is 'RDS does things' as a reason why he is better than Trump.

If Trump is the Gov of Florida all those things are done anyway.

Its a completely different animal in DC and the fact you continue to tout this just shows a fundamental lack of undersatnd of how things operate.

Yes he course corrected when it was easier to do so.

As opposed to Trump pushing HCQ in March and saying we should open up on Easter (WHEN NOBODY WAS SAYING THIS).

Yes - He didn't get his way and then stupidly took credit for being a part of the shutdowns but stop trying to pretend like RDS is this trend setter.

even if that were true, why do you dismiss it?

it trump got that done in Floiorda, I'd celebrate it

If you want MAGA policies, why are you so dismissive of people who making them a reality?

Because its about projecting what can be done in DC.

You are HAMMERING trump for not getting these things done but simultaneously praising RDS for 'getting stuff done'. It just shows immaturity and lack of understanding. I don't know what else to do tell you.

When is Trump going to course correct?

He said last month "we did everything right."

why is that acceptable to you?

Did Trump impose mandates? Did he force people to wear masks? Did he support states locking down past June?

All the things that you decry as the true injustices during COVID had almost nothing to do with Trump.

What policies is Trump going to get done when he assumes the Presidency in 2025?

What policies is Trump going to get done when he assumes the Presidency in 2025?

Tell me what Congress looks like then and I'll tell you.

But he will be much more aggressive with executive action and for starters he will remove a lot of adminsitrative agents and install real patriots in places like the FBI/NSA/CIA/DOJ.
